The Survey of Recent Science and Engineering Graduates, 1978, was designed to obtain information on the occupational and educational status of graduates who received a bachelor's or master's degree during the 1971/1972 and 1975/1976 academic years. Data include: number of new entrants into various science and engineering fields, general demographic characteristics of new entrants, type of employers, primary work activities, median salaries earned, and geographical distribution of new entrants.
