Homeschooling in the United States

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) released national data on homeschoolers’ experiences. Sources of this report came from the 2012 and 2016 Parent and Family Involvement Survey (PFI). PFI is part of the National Household Education Surveys (NHES) Program. Topics like homeschooling rates, reasons homeschooled, providers of homeschool instruction (including virtual instruction and schools), teaching style and curriculum sources, subject areas, and homeschool activities are included in this publication.
