Abstract: This poll was conducted via telephone surveys on February 8, 2000. Its sample consists of 1,417 exiting voters. There are 43 variables on issues such as: Who voted for in Republican presidential primary (1); when decided who to vote for (1); which one issue mattered most in deciding vote (1); recent proposals to reform campaign finance (1); which one candidate quality mattered most in deciding vote (1); John McCain's military record (1); abortion (1); think George W. Bush has knowledge to serve effectively as president (1); member of religious right (1); cutting taxes/strengthening Social Security should be a higher priority for the next president (1); did any candidates attack others unfairly (1); George W. Bush/John McCain/Steve Forbes most likely to beat Democratic presidential nominee in November (1); Delaware economy (1); 1996 Delaware presidential primary (1); candidate's positions on issues or leadership/personal qualities more important (1); standard of living will rise/fall over next ten years (1); George W. Bush/John McCain more likely to say what he really believes (1); regularly use Internet (1); ever served in U.S. military (1); personal finances (1).
