Abstract: In this short poll, respondents were asked how closely they were following the 1988 presidential race, if they had a favorable or unfavorable impression of the presidential candidates Michael Dukakis and George Bush, which of the two candidates they would vote for if the election were held that day, and how strongly they supported the candidate named. Background information on respondents includes political alignment, 1984 presidential vote choice, age, race, sex, and state/region of residence.
