Abstract: Data is part of a continuing monthly series of surveys that evaluate the Reagan presidency and solicit opinions on a variety of political and social issues. Respondents are asked about the nation's economy, the possibility of a recession, problems facing the country, as well as impressions of George Bush, Dan Quayle, and Oliver North. Those surveyed were also asked to express their concerns about the Bush presidency and to express their opinion regarding whether or not Oliver North should receive a presidential pardon for his role in the Iran-Contra affair. Background information on respondents includes political alignment, 1988 presidential vote choice, education, age, religion, health insurance membership, marital status, household composition, labor union membership, employment status, race, income, sex, and telephone number.
