Abstract: This survey was conducted by the Gallup Organizatioin between April 22 and May 15 in 1994. The sample was drawn from the national adult population. There are 367 variables in the study. The major topics are financial worries, confidence in charitable institutions, confidence in other institutions, volunteer work in past year, volunteer work in past month, volunteer work in past week, type of organization worked for, time spent on volunteer activities, kind of work performed, ever been a volunteer, asked to volunteer or give money, contributing money or property for charitable purposes, contributions to political campaigns, role and responsibility of charities, money donated compared to last year, reasons to contribute, solicitations for contributions, Give Five program, tax deductions, past events, religions affiliation, church attendance, member of organizations.
