Abstract: These data are from the 1984/5 round of Australia's leading academic survey, the International Social Science Survey/Australia (IsssA); is a survey of the spouses of primary repondents to our main 1985/95 representative national sample of Australians. It includes many of the variables also collected for primary respondents, the purpose being to assess the extent of spousal agreement in attitudes and values as well as homogamy in social life on multiple dimensions. It is a survey of a representative sample of married Australians literate in English aged 18 and over.
