Abstract: This survey was conducted by the Gallup Organizatioin between April 3 and May 17 in 1992. The sample was drawn from the national adult population. The major topics are Importance of various personal goals(16); personal financial situation(3); role of charities(5); confidence in various charitable institutions(13); volunteer work performed in last year(1); volunteer work performed in past month(6); contributions of money/property(7);reasons for giving to charity(6); change in contributions(9); means of soliciting charitable contributions(10); give five campaign(4); confidence in other institutions(14); reason for volunteering(20); roles and responsibilities of charitable institutions(10); payroll deduction(8); motivation for charitable giving and volunteering(25).
