Abstract: Sample of this survey was taken from households particpated in the Energy Care Program. The sample size is 252. Major topics covered are: source of knowledge of Energy Care program: workshops, media, flyers, social agency, friend/relative/neighbor; use of materials provided by Energy Care; month during which materials were used; installment demonstration; installment problems; use of plastic windows and number of windows covered; month during which plastic was removed; reasons for not using plastic; use of weather-stripping around doors and windows and "door sweeps" around bottom of doors; sufficiency of energy package for entire home; additional materials purchased; problems with the installation of Energy Care materials: tearing, falling off, ugly, didn't work; reference to other programs by the Energy Care representative: CONNSAVE, Energy Assistance, Fuel Bank, No Shutoff; arrangements for special payments; description of residence; primary fuel used for home heating; ownership of residence; separate payment for heat in rented residence; difference in heating bills as a result of the installation of Energy Care materials; comfort of home since energy conservation measures
