Abstract: This poll was conducted via telephone surveys on February 1, 2000. Its sample consists of 2,240 exiting voters. There are 65 variables on issues such as: Voted for Gary Bauer/George W. Bush/Steve Forbes/Orrin Hatch/Alan Keyes/John McCain/other in Republican presidential primary (1); when decided who to vote for (1); which one issue mattered most in deciding vote (1); satisfied with Republican presidential candidates/would like to see someone else enter the race (1); which one candidate quality mattered most in deciding vote (1); abortion (1); think George W. Bush has the knowledge to serve effectively as president (1); member of religious right (1); were registered as Independent/Republican/not registered before voting today (1); George W. Bush/John McCain/Steve Forbes did/did not attack other candidates unfairly (1); candidates for president should/should not publicly discuss their religious beliefs (1); 1996 New Hampshire presidential primary (1); candidate's positions on issues or leadership/personal qualities more important (1); ever served in U.S. military (1); how strongly favor candidate respondent voted for (1); importance of John McCain's military record in deciding vote (1); did/did not consider voting in the Democratic primary in the past few months (1); would/would not seriously consider voting for a Reform Party presidential candidate in November (1); how many Republican candidates have seen in person during this campaign (1); George W. Bush/John McCain/Steve Forbes would be most likely to beat the Democratic presidential nominee in November (1); cutting taxes/strengthening Social Security should be a higher priority for the next president (1); recent proposals to reform campaign finance would help/hurt the political process (1); how much Internet will affect life and work in the next few years (1); opinion of George W. Bush (1); opinion of John McCain (1); opinion of Steve Forbes (1); New Hampshire economy (1); George W.
