Abstract: This statewide survey was conducted as the eleventh of an ongoing series of surveys which function as the "poll of record" for Wisconsin, examining a wide variety of topics of concern to state residents, including politics, but going beyond that to questions of how state residents view their lives, work, and families. This eleventh survey was underwritten by private funds available to the University of Wisconsin Madison with support from the Capital Times (Madison) and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who served as media co-sponsors. Most of the results are based on a statewide random digit dial telephone survey of 511 state residents interviewed from October 21 to 28th. It has a margin of error of about plus or minus four percent. Topics included in this poll are President Bush, concealed weapons, Russ Feingold, Iraq, perceptions of the governor and state, minimum wage, immigrants and Thanksgiving in Badger state.
