Abstract: This poll was conducted via telephone surveys on January 2-5, 2004. Its sample consists of 1,029 adults voters. There are 170 variables on topics such as: How much thought given to upcoming election for president (1); how often vote (1); plan to vote in presidential election this November (2); George W. Bush job performance (7); most important issues in deciding vote for president (4); opinion of people in news (9); more likely to vote for George W. Bush/Democratic party's candidate (3); think George W. Bush will definitely be re-elected/think a Democratic candidate can win (1); 2004 Democratic presidential candidates (3); George W. Bush vs. Howard Dean (3); 2004 Congressional elections (2); direction of country (1); economy (4); stock market (2); where candidates stand on issues/leadership skills and vision more important in deciding vote for president (1); how much do a presidential candidate's religious beliefs matter (1); how worried that self/someone in family will become a victim of terrorism (1); confidence in U.S. government to protect its citizens from future terrorist attacks (1); optimistic/pessimistic about war on terrorism (1); view of the way George W. Bush won the 2000 presidential election (1); how much time George W.
