Abstract: This poll was conducted via telephone surveys between January 29 - February 1 in 2004. Its sample consists of 1,001 national adults. There are 178 variables on topics such as: How much thought given to upcoming presidential election (1); how often vote (1); plan to vote in election this November (2); George W. Bush vs. Wesley Clark (2); George W. Bush vs. Howard Dean (2); George W. Bush vs. John Kerry (2); George W. Bush vs. John Edwards (2); George W. Bush job performance (5); opinion of people in news (8); Democratic presidential candidates (3); how would react if John Kerry won Democratic nomination (1); economy (2); most important issue facing the country (1); how much do a president's policies affect personal economic situation (1); how much do a president's policies affect national economic conditions (1); enthusiasm about voting in this year's presidential election (1); think John Kerry would/would not make a good president (1); George W. Bush too conservative/about right/too liberal (1); John Kerry too conservative/about right/too liberal (1); characteristics apply more to John Kerry/George W. Bush (8); would trust George W.
