Abstract: Consumer Unit (CU) data include region and size of city of residence, family size, number of automobiles owned, housing tenure and estimated market and rental values of housing; type of cooking and heating fuels used; annual expenditure for food, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, shelter, fuel and utilities, telephone, domestic services and materials, house furnishings and equipment, dry cleaning and laundry, clothing, transportation, health care, personal care, recreation, private and public education, insurance and pension expenses, gifts and contributions; income taxes, changes in assets and liabilities; data for CU head include marital status; data for CU head, spouse and additional family members include, age sex, employment status, weeks worked, and earnings.
