Abstract: The data set contains questions relating to the respondent's opinions of the three most important problems of the United States, competence of the political parties, three favorite candidates, political affinity, support for Nixon and reasons, rating of affinity groups, rating of political leaders, the best way to change society, which government programs should receive more/less money, whether a new political party should be organized, whether respondent is registered and will vote. Demographic characteristics include occupation of chief wage earner and respondent, income, age, race, education, size of community, state, frequency of being at home.
