Abstract: The study focused upon questions of respondents' political interest, media exposure, and opinion leadership. Other questions were concerned with partisan preferences, political efficacy, the membership of several nations in international organizations and other domestic and foreign policy issues. An additional section dealt with attitudes toward homosexuals. Information was obtained from 600 respondents, 2 cards of data per respondent, in the form of 115 variables. The data are the first of several separate surveys of Dutch public opinion undertaken by the Institutes. These data were collected in early 1972 from a national sample of Dutch adults age 17 and over.
