Abstract: This study focuses on the achievements and problems of the European Community. It repeats the series of items on feelings toward European integration. This series was extended to include the respondents' interest in and satisfaction with a wide range of policy areas, as well as their preferences for leadership to deal with the issues--the European Community or the individual countries. The interview further inquired about perceptions of the Community's future and preferences between various policy choices the Community must make. A series of questions was again directed at the election for the European Parliament, scheduled for spring, 1978. The study also included the standard demographic variables usually asked in the Barometers. There are 9,210 respondents and approximately 200 variables in the study.
