Abstract: The dataset contains information on European integration, life satisfaction, and social goals, as well as respondent attitudes toward the European Parliament. Attitudes towards the expansion of the European Economic Community were also probed, as well as opinions on the most necessary members in the event of European political unification. Respondents were also questioned extensively on the European Currency Unit, current and preferred working conditions, recent travel, and dealings with financial institutions.

SOURCE: personal interviews

UNIVERSE: Representative samples of the total population of persons age fifteen years and older were drawn in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Luxembourg, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Greece.

SAMPLE: The sampling designs were either multi-stage national probability samples or national stratified quota samples.
