Abstract: The data for this study of city council members from 82 cities in the San Francisco Bay area were collected by questionnaire and interview during 1966-1967. Also included are census, budget, and aggregate election data from the council members' cities. The study explores the council members' opinions on matters that concern Bay Area cities and communities such as traffic and highways, recreation, job and housing discrimination, and social and governmental problems.
