Abstract: The data file contains three sets of questions: (1) all five waves: plans for coming fall, career preference, alternative career choices, reasons for field and career choice, college experience, financial aid, reasons for continuing higher education, occupation/job satisfaction, job opportunity, personal data (age, sex, marital status, religion, race, members of family, parents' educational attainment, parents' occupation, family income, size of home town, distance form home to school, view of self, occupation; (2) women (in the fourth wave): importance of a career, self-satisfaction, role of women in society, differences between men and women, degree of self-esteem, financial situation, family background, high school and college experiences, future aspirations, and information on the graduate and professional school if the women pursued a higher degree; (3) sub-sample (wave 5): emotional attachment to college, present and future employment, degree of satisfaction with present status, personal data (home ownership, religion, political leanings, age, marital status, number of children), and views on higher education.
