Abstract: The Survey of Family Growth was designed to provide data on fertility, family planning, and related aspects of maternal and child health. Fieldwork for Cycle II was carried out between January and September of 1976. Interviews were conducted with a probability sample of women living in the United States, aged 15 to 45 inclusive, who were either currently married, previously married, or never married but had offspring presently living in the household. Questions dealt with respondents' pregnancies, health care, and family planning practices and attitudes. Interviews were completed with 8,611 women. The data have a logical record length of 1,000. There are approximately 1,000 variables.
