Abstract: Data set contains variables relating to: location of household, number and sex of members of the family, type of building, number of rooms, toilet facilities, type of cooking fuel, lighting facilities, type of refrigerator, source of water, house ownership, language, literacy, frequency of newspaper reading, listening to radio, television, movies, work experience, duration of work, income, religion, duration of marriage, and age ---the preceding questions were asked of both husband and wife. Questions were also asked relating to: marriage, pregnancy--both alive or dead, type of family, future employment, future education, best number of children for a couple, number of children desired, difficulty in becoming pregnant, fear of childbearing, approval of family planning , knowledge of contraceptives, current use, desire to learn something of contraceptives and family planning, and other personal characteristic data.
