Abstract: The data file contains information relating to social background characteristics, official offenses prior to program assignment, official offenses during intervention, and official offenses following intervention for the experimental and control groups. Social background characteristics include age of offender, parent-child interaction, father's occupation, school performance, attitude toward self in school, educational aspirations, peer relationships, child-adult relationships, religious preference and participation. Official offenses prior to program assignment include types of offenses, seriousness of offenses, and length of time between offenses. Official offenses during the following intervention include number of offenses, length of time in treatment, length of time between program entrance and first offense, number of recidivist offenses, number of weeks between program release and final follow-up, length of time between release and other offenses, type of disposition and seriousness of offense.
