Abstract: Data on 8,000 domestic events in 84 countries are presented in this study and concern the amount of conflict directed by groups and individuals in the prevailing political system against other groups or persons. The data cover the years 1948-1965. Twenty-eight categories were used to classify the events. The study provides a conflict intensity rating for each event. The data sources were the Encyclopedia Britannica Yearbook and Deadline Data on World Affairs.
