Abstract: This study was carried out by Chilton Research Services of Radnor, Pennsylvania, under the direction of B. Sussman of the Washington Post and J. Alderman of ABC News. Interviews were conducted with 1,672 adults, including an oversample of elderly persons. Respondents were asked their opinions on problems of the elderly. Also included were questions concerning presidential performance, the automobile industry in Japan and the U.S., and United States foreign relations with Israel and other allies. Data are available in either OSIRIS or card-image formats. There are 116 variables and 1,672 cases in this collection. The codebook is machine-readable.
