Abstract: This study was carried out by Chilton Research Services of Radnor, Pennsylvania, under the direction of B. Sussman of the Washington Post and J. Alderman of ABC News. Interviews were conducted with 1,018 adults, plus additional interviews with 286 unemployed persons. Respondents were asked their opinions on national problems, inflation, unemployment, Nixon's role in Watergate, personal finances and job security. Data are available in either OSIRIS or card-image formats. There are 116 variables and 1,304 cases in this collection. The codebook is machine-readable.
