Abstract: A sample of registered lobbyists were interviewed in 1956 and 1957 in order to investigate the relationships of lobbyists to policy-making, occupational history, interest in public affairs, reasons for becoming a lobbyist, political activities, respondents' relationship to the organizations they represent, where they try to establish contact, techniques used, how lobbying skills were acquired, and an appraisal of success. The study includes 114 respondents, 3 cards of data per respondent, and 125 variables.
