Abstract: This data collection is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that evaluate the Reagan presidency and solicit opinions on a variety of political and social issues. Topics covered include an evaluation of the United States Supreme Court and the nomination of Robert Bork, 1988 presidential candidates and characteristics that would influence the vote of the respondent, the incidents involving Senator Joe Biden, and the candidacy of Jesse Jackson. Demographic characteristics of respondents also were recorded.

UNIVERSE: The population of the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii, aged 18 and over.

SAMPLE: Households were selected by random digit dialing.

NOTE: For reasons of confidentiality, respondents' zip codes have been recoded to blanks. A weight variable is included that must be used in any analysis.
