Abstract: This study of Nigerian farmers is part of a broader, three-phase research project concerned with the spread of modern technology in Nigeria, Brazil, and India. This data file reflects the second phase, which examined personal factors influencing farmers' innovative behavior in agriculture. Phase II data include demographic characteristics such as nativity, age, education, occupation, religion, family composition, farm activities such as harvesting, selling, commercialization; educational and occupational aspirations, knowledge of health; sources and types of communication utilized and exposed to; awareness and use of innovations in farming; and a variety of indices such as agricultural innovativeness, awareness knowledge, health adoption, health knowledge, opinion leadership.
