High school transcript file, postsecondary enrollment file, postsecondary transcript file, postsecondary institution characteristics file, friends file, parents file, financial aid file, language file, and school file are available for sophomore cohort on this CD. SPSS-PC programs are supplies for these files. Then ECB will generate a SPSS-PC statements file and a codebook for the variables you have selected. The window-based ECB program is for HS&B 80-92 restricted CD. The variable location does not match our DOS version data which are stored in DP7001 and DP7010. 9/06 Program is installed on Ketchup and Mustard. This DOS version of ECB program runs from an ISO image. Its configuration has been set up as follows: F1 default drive C; F2 path Temp; F3 program drive C; F4 path Temp and F5 compact drive E. The output files will be stored in C:\Temp. 7/09 Ketchup and Mustard are replaced by two new PCs.

Abstract: This nationally representative study contains data on sophomore and senior high school students from the class of 1980. It has 4 waves of students files which can be linked to other HS&B files, such as parent, school, teacher, transcript, friends, financial aid, postsecondary enrollments and postsecondary institution characteristics. Information about personal backgrounds, education and work experience, postsecondary plans and aspirations and verbal and non-verbal cognitive test scores are collected in student files. Data in this longitudinal studies can be used to address issues like educational attainment, employment, family formation, personal values and community activities for this group of high school students as they made the transition from high school or college to work force.
