Abstract: This survey collected data from civilian, non-institutionalized population aged 16-69 in Canadian provinces. It attempts to measure the frequency and number of job changes in Canadian labor market in 1989 in order to provide information on the characteristics of paid jobs held during this period. Topics include: periods of employment and unemployment, job search activities, unionization, pension plan coverage, wage rates, work schedules, inter- and intra-employer occupational mobility, and financial compensation during absences from work. There are 63,660 cases in this cross-sectional file.
