Abstract: The data file contains three classes of variables: categoric, student questionnaire items, and school record. The categoric variables include school attended, grade in school, sex, place of residence (city vs. country), size of community of orientation, and length of residence at current address. Variables selected from the student questionnaire include family background, organizational membership, father's education and occupation, father's educational expectation, number of siblings, parental marital status, and educational and occupational aspirations. Items obtained from matched cumulative record folders include intelligence, Stanford Mathematics Grade Equivalent, Stanford Reading Grade Equivalent, and grades in mathematics and English.
