Abstract: The Statistical Abstract is a source of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. The CD-ROM is designed to serve as a convenient, easy-to-use statistical reference source and guide to statistical publications and sources. It contains over 1,500 tables from over 250 different government, private, and international organizations. 76 new tables are provided on subjects such as undocumented immigrants, hospital outpatient visits, student use of computers, consumer expenditures for sound recordings, Federal drug seizures, labor union membership, mutual fund shares, mail order sales, and homeownership rates. Another change in content from the 1993 edition is the inclusion of 92 new tables from the International Trade Administration U.S. Industrial Outlook on the Nation's manufacturing industry and products.
